Parents are snuggled in on the nests.

Welcome to early summer  hatching!

Robins galore and dimimutive Blue Birds decorate the wild meadows with Nature's own jewelry.

The wooded hills and grass lands of the Box Lazy A are home to hundreds of winged variety. From a Red Tailed Hawk gliding on air currents high above to the call of a Catbird in the reeds of a nearby pond, come experience our birds, bring your camera and sit back. You won't have to wander far to view a wide variety, find a quiet seat in the woods or relax right outside your cabin door.

Tom and Lori Parker spent March 9-10, 2008 at the cabins and recorded these sightings. Tom is in charge of the Blue Rapids Christmas Bird Count for the Kansas Ornithological Society. He has written an article that is published in the online magazine http://www.eyeonkansas.org/ncentral/marshall/0901paradise.html. Click Continue for a complete list of the birds Tom cataloged on these days.
